The unemployment rate for 18-29 year olds, including those who gave up looking for work, is 15.8 percent, more than twice the 7.3 percent national average. The jobless rate is even higher for African-Americans and Hispanics is even higher, said Generation Opportunity, a non-partisan youth advocacy organization.
U.S. Department of Labor isn't counting 2 million young adults because they aren't in the labor force, according to the Millennial Jobs Report.
