June downtown Sebring events

—The Sebring Community Redevelopment Agency is holding the “Dog Daze of Summer” in downtown Sebring during June.
There will be animal-themed activities, events, promotions and specials during the month, including the Canine and Wine Walk from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 13 during Destination Downtown Sebring.
Four-legged friends are invited to “Yappy Hour and Mutt Strut.” Participating merchants will offer free wine plus doggie activities. More details: www.DestinationDowntownSebring.org.
Here is a lineup of other June activities:
June 13-15: “Proof” at Highlands Little Theatre
Catherine cared for her father through a lengthy mental illness. Upon his death, a “paradigm-shifting proof” is discovered.
The title refers both to that and to whether Catherine can prove the proof’s authorship. The play “crackles with subtle wit while exploring Catherine’s fear of following her father, both mathematically and mentally,” a news release states.
This play may be inappropriate for children under 13.
There will be screenings at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and a matinee show at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The play will be shown at the Drs. Thakkar Pavilion.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for youth.

June 14-15: Heartland Triathalon
The Heartland Triathalon returns to downtown Sebring this weekend. The kids’ triathlon is the evening of June 14, followed by the adult triathlon the morning of June 15. For more details, visit www.HeartlandTri.org.

June 19: Art Uncorked “Elephant”
The Highlands Art League’s Art Uncorked class is its Throwback Thursday favorite, “Elephant,” which is suitable for ages 21 and up Instructor Alice Hansen leads the group through a complete class starting at 6 p.m. Register at www.HighlandsArtLeague.org.
