World Cup Live Scores, Updates: England vs USA Score; FIFA World Cup 2022 Bracket, Schedule, Standings

Matchday 6 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, with the second round of Group B matches underway, saw Wales vs Iran kick off at the Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium.

A game heading for the fifth 0-0 draw of the tournament, Wales keeper Wayne Hennessey survived a red card in the final 20 minutes, followed by two late Iran goals that revived the nations’ hopes of progressing.

After that, Senegal’s win against Qatar sent the hosts heading for an exit from the tournament. Netherlands and Ecuador battle it out for top spot in Group A. Both teams battled hard and leveled in the 90 minutes with Cody Kakpo assisting the Dutchman in the first half. Enner Valencia scored for Ecuador, his third of the tournament. Both the teams are currently level in the group with four points each with one game remaining.

With three matches in the books, the highlight of the day also pits England against the USA Men’s National Team. With Iran’s victory over Wales, the winner of this match is almost (or indeed in England’s case) guaranteed to progress to the knockout stages. Can the United States Men’s National Team pull off an upset or will England fold?
