Howard County Fire Chief Louise Winston told reporters Thursday morning there were no injuries to those attending the concert or those who responded first.
But fans were soaked – and disappointed – and Holsey promised to host a make-up concert elsewhere on Twitter, saying it was “beyond disappointing” how the Merweather Post Pavilion handled the weather cancellation.

After heavy rain began to fall in the pavilion area, Winston said, “our team was able to quickly get there and evaluate the area and determine that there was no immediate danger to the hosts who were under the pavilion at the time.”
A causeway over the property was also flooded, but police were able to approach the area and close it.

In a fan video posted on Twitter, the storm began to fall on the water seat bowl and on guests returning to the venue before the show was canceled.

A Report on TwitterHolsey said, “If I had gone out there, it would have been unsafe for people to rush to the stage during or after the storm.”
However, in a second tweet, the pop artist said he was disappointed with how Merriweather Post Pavilion officials handled the weather issues, adding that the rescheduled date would “happen somewhere else”.
